Public Safety Information

Ensuring you and your pup have a safe and welcoming visit to our canine cafe.

Please read the entire document.

  • I understand that there may be dogs in the lounge.

  • I will not hold Pup In A cup responsible for any injuries that may result from interactions with dogs in the lounge.

  • I understand that dog dander is a common allergen and I enter this facility at my own risk.

    • Zoonotic diseases - (zoonoses) are infections that are spread between people and animals. These infections are caused by germs, such as viruses, bacteria, parasites, and fungi. Some can be severe and life-threatening, and others may be milder and get better on their own. A good protection against zoonoses is washing your hands with soap and running water or using hand sanitizer if soap and water are not readily available.

    • For more information on zoonotic diseases and questions concerning dog safety, refer to the CDC website, https://www.cdc.gov/healthy-pets/about/dogs.html

    • All dogs in our facility are required to have their basic vaccinations against Rabies and Distemper.

  • I have read the above description of zoonoses, I understand the importance of clean hands, and know the web address to the CDC website regarding dog safety.

Treatment of Dogs

  • Every owner has a right to say no to allowing others to interact with their dogs.

  • Dogs MUST remain on leash while inside the premises.

  • Dogs must be calm and unobtrusive to the others in the facility - it is the discretion of the staff to make the call on which dog is the offender.

  • Dogs may choose not to interact with you.

  • Do not feed dogs from the human menu or allow dogs to eat your food.

    • We have a menu specially catered to them if you would like your dog to enjoy food alongside you.

  • No flash photography.

  • We have a zero-tolerance policy for any type of “abusive behavior” towards dogs in our lounge, customers, and staff.

    • “Abusive behavior” includes teasing, overly loud noises, foul language, yelling, stomping, chasing, harassing, physically hurting, and any other behaviors deemed abusive by our staff.

  • Be respectful of dogs in muzzles, do not approach them without express consent from their owner. Failure to do so will result in removal from our premises.

  • I agree that I understand and will follow the rules regarding the treatment of the dogs and their owners at Pup In A Cup.
